Despite Covid-19, Beit Hesed Project Moves Forward

It has been over a month that we in Israel have been in almost total lockdown because of the Coronavirus. It’s amazing how things can change so rapidly and drastically over such a short period of time.

The main people hit by the virus have been the elderly. Again, this shows the importance of caring for these most vulnerable ones in the population. Because of isolation procedures, there have been many elderly who have died alone without family or loved ones. This virus will pass! But we need to provide the best loving care possible in a joyful spiritual environment.  Beit Hesed will provide that!

BREAKTHROUGH! In late January of this year we finally completed negotiations with the Moshav Yad HaShmona and signed a comprehensive memorandum of understanding for use of the land.

We have two architects working on the project now. One is taking working with local authorities and councils to change the zoning. This is a very complicated process and can take some years. The other architectural company is working on the plans for the facility itself.  The main need now is for finances. Pray with us that the Beit Hesed project will move forward full steam as the Covid19 epidemic gets under control.
