A Breakthrough!

March 10, 2019 Some weeks ago, Yad HaShmona Moshav members voted to accept in principle the business proposal of Beit Hesed. This agreement will allow the use of Moshav land and give us the ability to move forward in the building of Beit Hesed. There are three necessary steps involved: First, the land will have to be re-zoned for use of a senior/nursing home: (3-4 years) Secondly, building plans will have to be approved by the relevant authorities: (1-1 ½ years). Thirdly, the actual construction will take place: (2 years) Finally, the relevant authorities will have to inspect and approve the building itself for licensing: (1-1 ½ years) The total time frame: 7-9 years. The agreement with the Moshav states that we will have to raise a certain sum of money in order to proceed to the following stage, and that within a certain time-frame. To submit the plan for re-zoning, we will have to raise a total of $1,000,000, (to date we have about $280,000.) To begin building we will have to have raised approximately $8,000,000. The total estimated cost of the project is $15,000,000 including all permits, legal and architectural costs and actual construction.
